MALCOLM ARCHER (born 1952) studied for a year at the Royal College of Music in London before going to Cambridge as Organ Scholar of Jesus College. His first cathedral position was as Assistant Organist at Norwich. He was later Organist/Director of Music at Bristol and Wells Cathedrals before being appointed in 2004 to succeed John Scott (now at St Thomas, 5th Avenue, New York) as Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral, London. Since 2007 he has been Director of Chapel Music & Organist at Winchester College.
